I found this place in Adrenaline Romance's Blog located in a pretty near place - Jaclupan, Talisay City. It was my first time going to a cave and definitely not my last. Going their gives a breathtaking atmosphere for nature lovers as well as a preview to the destruction we made in our environment.
Getting There:
**Go to Citylink Terminal and ride 41D Jeepney going to Tabunok. (Php 10)
**Walk a little bit from the Tabunok under pass to Rose Pharmacy.
**Ride a mulitcab with a signboard "Tabunok-Jaclupan" route. (Php 9) or you can hire a habal-habal for 15 pesos.
**Tell the driver you will be for Igutan Cave drop off.
Just walk a little bit down and you can see rusty bridge then crossed to the other side.
After crossing the bridge take the right side of the road.
The gate was locked when we arrived. Luckily the caretaker arrived after texting the number below. :)
Make sure to bring wet shirts with you to enjoy the waterfalls inside the cave.
Most part of the cave are tight spaces. Be sure to low your heads while scrunching down.
A disappointment in our part seeing these vandals almost everywhere in the walls inside Igutan cave. Haizzt!
We had enjoyed the falls inside for half an hour and we headed back to let others explore inside.
See those water pipes? It crossed along the river to the source where Igutan Cave was located.
On our way back to Tabunok we passed this scenery along the way - maybe one of the reason why Mananga River looks the way it is today. Nature may be harsh and unpredictable, its because of our irresponsibility and negligence towards the environment.
..Gate Entrance - 5 pesos
..Cave Entrance - 25 pesos
When you visit Igutan Cave, please consider the environment before leaving any act of carelessness into it.
