Budlaan Falls to Kan-irag Peak - Summer Ender Adventure

The Kan-irag Peak (commonly known as Sirao Peak) is located in one of the mountain brgy. in Cebu City. It stands at approximately 700 meters above see level and a well known mountain for trekkers.

It can be accessed via Talamban or Ayala Heights as point of entry.

In the name of fun and adventure, we chose the longer trail that starts from Talamban via Budlaan(Kabang) Falls to challenge ourselves. (You may choose to take the easy trail from Ayala Heights and it will only be a 30-minute walk to the peak.)

From the city, ride a 13C jeepney to Sunny Hills, Talamban. From there, you can ask a habal-habal driver to take you to Brgy. Baogo - the drop off point to Budlaan Falls.

Since we were all inexperienced trekkers and it was our first time going to Kan-irag Peak, we expected many "sa-ag moments" along the way and that's exactly what we had.

We did not expect to reach the big falls at no time because we planned to do a river trekked. It turns out that the trail we took was a short-cut to Budlaan Falls.

Here comes the falls - a dried falls. A little disappointment of what we were expected, it was totally dried up.

We continued the journey 45 mins after we ate. We came across this not-so-easy part of the trail. We needed to reach the top of the falls and make sure not to loose your footing.

We spent the night at the top, camping. We did not took photos during the night since we only have P&S camera and the quality is not good in low lights.

Packing up our things after eating our breakfast, we went down using the easy trail to Ayala Heights.
