Our canyoneering adventure ended in 4
hours and everybody was looking for sumptuous lunch to compensate for
the adrenaline rush we just had. Lucky enough, we found a small
carenderia along the parking area inside Sto. Tomas de Villanueva
Parish Church - a recognizable landmark which is also the gateway to
Kawasan falls.
After our lunch we asked Kuya Ricardo if he could help us get a motorbike-ride (habal-habal) going to
Lambug Beach, Badian. And yes, we have it for 60php per person. We
really thankful for the hospitality of our guide – highly recommended.
A side trip to Lambug Beach was
included in our itinerary since two of our friends were already
there.
A quite secluded beach with a lesser
crowd; which for me a perfect place to relax and unwind, away from
the busy city life.
Our friend rented an AC room for
2,000php good for 6 persons in Magic Beach Resort just beside Grandeur
Resort. Actually there are lots of resorts to choose from which
offers basic accommodation. You can also fetch your tent for a
minimal fee if you prefer not to rent a room.
In Magic Resort, they provide cooking
wares and utensils in case you bring along food to cook. I recommend
cooking your own food during your stay or you may opt to dine in one
small carenderia near the entrance – sorry, no cheesy restaurant.
Lambug Beach is an alternative to
Mactan and Lapu-lapu beaches if you don’t mind travelling to Cebu
South for 3 hours just to take dosage of beach ecstasy.
With a long stretch of white sand beach
and a place not overrun by mass tourism, Lambug Beach is definitely a
perfect place to stay away from disturbances.
